Prolactin is a growth factor that is secreted by the anterior pituitary. It is necessary for the proliferation and differentiation of the mammary glands. Prolactin is useful in the classification of pituitary tumors and study of pituitary disease. It also plays a role in the development of mammary cancer, functioning dually as a mitogen and a differentiating agent. Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Biotium Cytokeratin 5/6/18(LP34), CF647 conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Recognizes polypeptides of 58 kDa, 56 kDa, and 45 kDa, identified as cytokeratin 5, 6, and 18 respectively. It shows no reaction with keratin 1, 8, or 19. This MAb shows a broad pattern of reactivity with epithelial tissues, from simple glandular epithelia to stratified squamous epithelia. Epithelial cells are labeled whether they are ectodermal, mesodermal, or endodermal in origin. This MAb is useful in detecting cells of epithelial origin in mixed tumors, in effusions, in bone marrow samples, or in tissue culture cells.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. This gene encodes an enzyme that transfers methyl groups to cytosine nucleotides of genomic DNA. This protein is the major enzyme responsible for maintaining methylation patterns following DNA replication and shows a preference for hemi-methylated DNA. Methylation of DNA is an important component of mammalian epigenetic gene regulation. Aberrant methylation patterns are found in human tumors and associated with developmental abnormalities. Variation in this gene has been associated with cerebellar ataxia, deafness, and narcolepsy, and neuropathy, hereditary sensory, type IE. ATRX is a member of the Snf2 family of helicase/ATPases, which contribute to the remodeling of the nucelosome structure in an ATP-dependent manner, and facilitate the initiation of transcription and replication. Structurally, ATRX contains a PHD zinc finger motif. ATRX is regulated throughout the cell cycle where it is differentially distributed within the nucleus. During interphase, ATRX predominately associates with the nuclear matrix, while during mitosis, ATRX localizes with condensed chromatin. At the onset of M phase, phosphorylation rapidly induces this redistribution of ATRX to the short arms of human acrocentric chromosomes, where it then specifically complexes with heterochromatin protein 1 alpha to mediate chromosomal segregation. Mutations in the ATRX gene correlate with a high incidence of severe X-linked form of syndromal mental retardation associated with alpha-thalassemia or ATRX syndrome. VLDLR (very low density lipoprotein receptor) is a member of the LDL receptor gene family, which includes LDL receptor, LRP, megalin, VLDLR and ApoER2. The LDL receptor family is characterized by a cluster of cysteine-rich class A repeats, epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like repeats, YWTD repeats and an O-linked sugar domain. VLDLR associates with RAP (receptor associated protein) during receptor folding, and RAP facilitates the secretion of the extracellular region of VLDLR.
